Then there was one hit by a Nashorn in Niehl near Köln and caught fire. Of the original 20 Zebra Mission Pershings, one was knocked out by a Tiger on Februin Elsdorf, but was returned to service on March 7th, another was hit by artillery fire on March 1st around a location called Vettweis on the Roer river, suffering substantial damage, but was returned to service a few weeks later. Several Pershings were "knocked out" of action, but most were repaired and returned to service and thus not really "destroyed". Where did this happend and how many Pershings were destroyed in world war 2 ?ĭepends on you definitions.
